Singing a huge contract and then getting cut?!?!

After a pretty good year (.300 AVG with 15 Hrs and Golden Glove and 2nd in the majors in SB) I went into the FA market and signed a 8.5 million contract with Florida. Just after the all-start break, i was send down to triple A and then cut in the same day!! I got all my money tho so its all good

2 months later I signed a one year deal with the Tigers for 1.5 million and finished the season with an AVG. just over .200.

One of my character signed a four year 4 mil per extention at age 43, then got cut on 4/1 the next season.

The AI handles rosters as good as, well, OOTP.

Yep, this has happened to me a couple of time, too. The odd part, of course, is that getting an obscene amount of money toward the end of your career, even for years in which you never play, is essentially worthless. Because -- let's face it -- what are you going to spend the money on, anyway?

This is pretty realistic cuz hey, how many major leaguers are gonna go through the entire tens of millions of dollars that they make throughout their career? Unless of course they go insane buying everything in sight.

I had a similar incident. It was late in my career and I was contacting alot of teams to find interest. I think one of the teams that had no interest was Houston, they didn't like how much I was asking for. So I saw the Yanks had made me an offer for what I wanted, and since they are my Fav team, I signed with them. Well, on that day I was signed, or the next day, I was traded to Houston. Go figure.
