I am in the midst of a career simulation. I started in 1969 and have completed seasons through 1976. Now, I'm into 1977 which means "expansion". I created Toronto and Seattle, went to edit schedule and created a new schedule. I am able to complete no more than 12 games before the games closes out and throws me back to my desktop. I have reset several times with mixed results. Sometimes, I can only play one game before the games shuts down and fires me back to desktop. I'm operating Windows 98. I have 256 ram and 10 gig HD open (of 40 gig total). What can I do to remedy this? (if anything).

Run Computer manager on all teams and check your teams lineups for any injured players, players without a position. Make sure all pitching staffs, lineups and depth charts are filled out correctly.
Invalid lineups are the cause of over 90% of the unexplained crashes while trying to sim or play games. **NOTE** The last statement is just my guess from the impressions of the reports I've seen here since becoming a member a few message boards ago, this figure shouldn't be regarded as the absolute truth.***** |
