Post Accounting of pitchers' IP

I noticed something odd in a game. I had Kris Benson and Todd Erdos combine on a 4-hit shutout win. The box score recorded 6.2 IP for Benson and 2.0 for Erdos with no other pitchers listed. The game was not reained out, or at least no mention was made of it. What happened to the other out?

Only thing I could think of would be an out by CS on an inherited runner, that might not have shown up in the box score...

There shouldn't be any outs that don't show up in the IP.

I was pointing out where I thought the error might be... not saying that it was correct. I posted that hoping to hear if this was the potential reason for the bug, its much easier to fix a bug if you know where to look.

I've seen this problem crop up pretty frequently. Thankfully I save all my game logs (damn my anal retentiveness), so I'll go back and check some where it happenend and see if there's a common cause.
