Underage Drinking

I searched for a thread about this, I thought there'd be one by now, but I couldn't find one. Is anyone else worried by going and getting drunk in the bar at 19? Something seems wrong about this. Is OOTP Dev. promoting underage drinking?

Personally though, I'd like to see this changed. Makes the 21st b-day something to look forward to for a high school draftee.

Have mentioned and suggested options multiple times, hopefully it will be changed in next patch.

What exactly is wrong with underage drinking? Half of the drinking done in this world is done by those who are underage. Atleast in my house that is.

I don't see why it should be changed because the legal drinking age where I am is 19 years, 18 in Quebec and Alberta. I think a change to it would not be promoting underage drinking, but just accomodating to other geographical locations who have legal drinking ages under 21.

My one and only thought on this issue. The cities used in the game are American cities, where the drinking age is 21. It would add to reality for there to be a drinking age in the game, but then again, I am not a Ball player in real life, so the game in itself is not reality.

The names might sound American, but those "metropolises" sure aren't in the United States.

Heh for me I wasn't underage. I was drafted by a team that had a minor league team in Canada where the legal age is 18.

Don't goto the bar and drink till you're 21 then, It's already been stated a dozen times that it isn't instrumental.

If that's how you want to play, then play like that. I prefer being able to play like this because it could be moose piss, I don't carem because I'm just using it to advance my character through minor leagues a little quicker. It's not having any actual impact on my life, it's just a matter of clicking a button.

I don't have a problem with this really. If you don't think underage drinking is a real thing....then I think you need to open your eyes.

I would venture to say that the reality is that any ballplayer, that is under the age of 21, whether he is in the majors or rides the minor league bus, is involved with drinking in one form or another.

In my opinion, the game in itself, IS reality.
