No ring?

During the regular season I batted .302 with 35hr and 112rbi. Then I fractured my wrist with a week left in the season. My team went on to win the World Series without me, but I didn't get a ring.

I'm not going to dwell on my fictional ballplayer not getting his fictional ring, but I am wondering if that's how it works in real life. Anybody know?

I was just going to post this as well.......you should have gotten a ring....my player batted .275 49 HR 112 rbi and was hurt the last week of season..Toronto won the World Series, and of course my player should have gotten a ring..I think the program ignores the disabled list when it determines who gets a ring on the World Series team and simply concentrates on the current roster...this needs to be fixed........

In real life every player that was on the active roster at any point during the season in which they win it all gets a ring normally.

I thought that it was just the people on the playoff roster. I don't think that the September callups get a ring unless they make the playoff roster. Also, if a person played up until the trade deadline then gets traded and the old team wins the Series, the traded player wouldn't get a ring.

Sometimes players traded away from championship teams are still given a "share" -- a portion of the bonus money allotted to post-season teams. I think that there is a team vote somehow (players? front office? management?).

I realize, of course, that a series share and a ring don't go together, of course.

Does this game give bonus money to post-season teams?

In real baseball, and depending on the team, World Championship rings are given out like Cracker Jacks prizes...front office staff, trainers, ect also get a ring....if a player was out injured for the season, but was recognized as a starter or a member of the 25 man roster, he would be given a ring as well....they aren't that restrictive in who gets one....and it is the players who determine how much a World Series share each non regular or traded player receives....anyway this is an oversight in the program and needs to be patched...players on the disabled list should get the "Preciousssssssssss!"

Anyone who was on the teams payroll at some point seems to get a ring. Obviously, ones on the team all year round get bigger ones, but a 28-year old Quadruple-A hitter who was called up for three days in June, never appeared in a game and then was realeased - still gets a ring if that team wins the championship.
