I've recently imported the 1946 season from Lahman, and the only anomaly, and a huge one at that, is the fact that Bobo Newsom's individual season-by-season pitching statistics are WAY OFF. i.e. when I pull up dear old Bobo's pitching stats, his 1943 season reads like this :
G W L S CG Sho IP HA ER BB K ERA 92 30 35 2 18 2 526 547 8 26 294 0.14 Something smells rotten in Denmark here. Bobo was an ok pitcher, more of a carpetbagger, but he wasn't *this* good ... Any ideas ? Hawk. |

At Baseball-Reference.com , his 1943 total-stat line was:
W____L____G___GS___CG__S__SO_IP____HA___ER___HR__B B___K____ERA 13___13___38__27___8___1__1__217.3__220__102__12__ 113__123__4.22 but it shows he pitched for 3 teams that year. I dunno how Lahman came up with those numbers...

It is an issue with the Lahman DB being read by the game. ScottVib has compiled a modified database that will correct the problem. It is available here http://www.tresclub.com/downloads/downloads.htm
