All Time Best Baseball

I am in the process of making a new league that would use the best teams from each franchise...like the 61 Yankees, or the 86 or 02 Angels or the 97 Marlins or 69 Mets.....let me hear your guys or gilrs ideas on what the all time best teams are........they do not have to have won a World Series or even made the playoffs to be considered.......but id like to know what people think on this

84 or 98 Padres, both solid teams. If i had to choose, i'd go with 84...but most people would want 98 because they reconize the names.

well name recognition is a big part of it, but some of the GM's that may play, wont know some names from the earlier great teams, id like to put my vote in for 86 Angels or possibly 82 or 2002 Angels

If this league happens i would love to put my claim on the Padres. I've already got the 98 and 84 team on file for ootp.

well whoever claims each team will be allowed to pick their "favorite" or "best" teams from that franchise...im looking at a opening date of middle January or even a week after that (3 weeks into January). some bugs are still being messed with and a website being added to our server is the last step, but i wont have it built until i can make sure stats arent inflated or "under"flated (is that a word?)
