How to run a game?

I made up a Historical League and sent the zipped file to a friend, who had made a .lg file name the same name as the league. Thats fine- he see's what he should.

But when I run a week it generates it to an index.html folder which is outside my league folder.

When I zip it and send it to him he doesnt see the week I ran. I told him to make an index folder inside the game folder and unzip my file inside it, that didnt work. I then told him to delete that index folder and just unzip the generated file into the league folder, that didnt work.

Can someone help me with procedures please,

Thanks...

I created a historical league Keystone.lg and importe through csv the 1980 league file from the Lahman database. I can export to FTP but it takes 1:10 to clear me, it's only a league my friend and I play in, so emailing him the generated file is faster. My friend also has OOTP5 but cannot see the updates I run, he only see's the whole game file I sent with the last results.

When I generate a week of games I click off Generate Player Pages and Include Game Logs, I send 7 days of Box Scores to the Destination Folder: index\

How can I email him a zipped copy of the index or latest week of games so he can see them on his own game.

I zip the index file and email it, he put it into a folder called index inside the Keystone.lg folder, that didnt work, I told him to delete it and just unzip the file inside Keystone.lg- that didnt work either.

I check the index before I send it and it has the latest update in it.

I just want to get to him the latest update so he can see it on his game.

Thank you,

Zip the whole league folder and send it, if he is installing/unzipping it corectly he'll see everything.

I had been doing that but he said it was creating another folder and he couldnt access my game at OOTP5.

My generated index file is outside my Keystone.lg folder do I drag that in then zip the whole file.

Should he then save that zip to where he has OOTP5 set up then unzip it, or inside my Keystone.lg then unzip it.

I want to thank you for your time and effort, your talking to two people with a combined age of 124 years and some brain cell drainage. We both have run leagues from the earliest Diamond Mind to one of the latest, and every version of Mogul, as well as basketball and soccer sims. OOTP5 is by far hands down the best sports sim I've come across. I'll also be downloading the new boxing sim after Christmas.
