Postseason stats not properly recorded
I've only done two seasons' research on this, but I can conclusively conclude (redundancy deliberate) that OOTP5 does not accurately record all postseason stats. To wit: subs, or at least pinch hitters and pinch runners, don't get their postseason stats added to their records. It is also possible that only starters' stats are recorded. If anyone else can confirm I would appreciate it.

I've just checked, and you are right about pinch-hitters/runners/replacements. Their numbers don't appear on the player card. They do appear on the html file, though.
EDIT : How could I have failed to notice this??? |

This has been going on for a long time fellas.... I'd be very surprised if this was the first thread to mention it.

This has been mentioned before. Players who do not start a game in the post-season will not have their stats accrued appropriately. It seems that the game looks for GS instead of just games played when determining whether or not to write to the post-season statistics portion of the database.

Sorry this is a known issue, I don't remember it being mentioned. Does Cato properly record the postseason stats? That's all that really matters, I guess, should I ever get Cato up and running.

I just looked at this for the first time, and can say that Cato's reported the batting stats for a guy I used for pinch hitting, but it didn't credit him for any games.
I haven't found any problems with the pitching numbers. |

I can confirm this. When I was doing the OT world series, I had to go back and look at the Game logs to make sure everyone got credit for what they did.
