Post possible security problem w/ exporting lineups

First off I think the new "export lineups to ftp" is great and really makes things easier for the Commish. But something that could be a problem is someone exporting another teams lineup without that teams knowledge.

Would it be possible to password protect this option only, (opposed to needing to set team passwords) and without the need to have internet league mode enabled (since many league Commissioners don't use it anyway). So, for example, when you click "export lineups to ftp" you are required to enter your pass.

The main problem with team passwords is it disables everything. Making it impossible to view other teams lineups, rotations, minor leagues, etc., so having the option to password protect the "export lineups to ftp" would be very helpful.

Thanks

thanks Scoot, maybe I should just contact you from now on before posting <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I did look, but didn't see the other posts, and the search function isn't working. has anyone replied about possibly adding it?

many have complained about it and the board admins are aware of the issue (I think).

The posts on this issue were kept on the downlow, intentionally, since we didn't want to bring up the potential security breach to those who would unscrupulously try to use it. It was brought up in the testers forum and once in the general discussions forum where after a few posts with the threads originator (forget who) he decided to delete the thread so that it didn't get out... the main thing is that Markus is aware of the potential problem as the post in the testers forum still exists.
