I am getting 300mb for a great price and you can get smaller amounts. Talk to Mark Cooley if you are interested, he will hook you up and is a OOTP guy so knows what he's talking about for leagues as well. One click PHP download as well. Greg CWBL Commish www.cwbl.ca - a Thifty Host member! |

My friend is opening a FREE web service that only asks for you to put a banner or popup on your page. It is not done yet, but it will open soon if you want to wait for that.

Well Totalchoice gives me more space for my money. What is bandwith?? Ive never found out what that meant. Also with totalchoice would I get my own domain like mlbsimulation.com? Or would I have to pay extra? Also what is unlimited FTP? Thanks guys

I personally use http://www.virtualhosting.ca
You pay a little more than Totalchoice but you get a whole lot more bandwidth and storage. (I can probably host over 30 leagues with just the bronze service) The only bad thing would be that this doesn't support Mysql Databases and that you only get 5 subdomains with the bronze plan. They have pretty good web support, usually questions are answered by the next day, but I am sure every other hosting services are just as efficient. Last edited by Cuss16; 12-08-2003 at 04:10 AM. |

I use Site Flip . The only downside is you have to pay for a year and there are no refunds. You can get a years service of 500mb disk space and 5 GB transfer for $23.40. That breaks down to $1.95 a month. They have a really nice contraol panel and any features you would need. I have been using since September without any complaints yet. If your a penny pincher like me they are worth a look.

By unlimited FTP, I am assuming they mean they provide unlimited FTP users. Domain name appears to be extra with them, but I would suggest always using a site like http://www.godaddy.com for your domain name so you are always in control of it, even if they offer it for free. $8.95/year is a small price to pay.

Hey guys! Another webhost question, do you guys know if there is a company or for that matter if it is even possible to do this.
Have a site that is PHP, and also have subdomains that are PHP... I know in Thrifty-host my main page is but I can not make a subdomain PHP...if you guys know any webhosts that allow this or if it is possible and you could let me know that would be great. It isn't for my league but for a different league that has sub leagues... Greg CWBL Commish |

I was just chatting with Mark Cooley and I was wrong, I can do what I was asking about with Thrifty-Host....
Thrifty-Host is a great server, one touch PHPNuke download is amazing, and Mark is always willing to work with you to get the package you need for a great price. If you ever have any questions about their services he is more then happy to help and if you have any questions that I can help you with feel free to ask me.. Greg CWBL Commish www.cwbl.ca |

ipowerweb
I just signed up with www.ipowerweb.com for my upcoming new league (watch for the TMBU - with a "hook"!)
Ridiculous amounts of space and tons of traffic (much-needed for leagues!) for $6.95 (pre-pay 2 years) to $9.95 (by month) per month. Worth looking into. |
