Editting Yearly Stats

How can I edit a player's year-by-year stats? Say, for making a database/league with 2003 player stats?

Pierre's editor will allow you to edit career stats I believe.

User version 1.13 of what? Pierre's utility? Which one? Where can I get it?

It doesn't edit the yearly stats though?

You can get it here.

It'll allow you to add/edit/delete career stats, not edit the current season's.

Have fun!

So with that program, editting career stats involves editting the yearly stats? I downloaded it and and it has a spot for each year. Will adding that years stats make a new part of his scouting report with those stats, or will it only edit the career stats?

Editing stats won't change the scouting reports. Plus, as far as I know there is no way to "skip" playing 2003 since I assume you are wanting to play beginning in 2004 w/ the 2003 stats.

I was planning on simming the 2003 season, and editting each player's stats. There is no way to do this, and change the scouting reports?

Correct, you can edit each season's stats and his player page and player card will reflect those changes.

True, you can do this but each player stats and scouting report must be edited individually.

YOu mean that using the editor will not edit the player stats in the scouting report/html scouting report of a player? Or will it? if so, the career totals will also be updated? How do I edit the scouting reports if this is not true>

Well, the scouting reports won't change based on past stats. So you'll have to change those manually. But I don't know how you can do that, or IF you can do that.

What "scouting reports" are you talking about?

When you click a player, it shows their genberal info and ratings and a little report, and also their last years stats and current years stats. If I simulate 2003 and edit the sats in Pierre's editor, will the 2003 stats show as my editted stats? And when I click "Player HTML Report" will the 2003 stats be my editted ones? Also, how do I edit a player's history? I know where the history files are, but I don't know which file is for wehich player. Any help is appreciated.

Looking over the thread, I'm talking about what you referred to as 'player cards'.

Ahhh...yes, if you edit a player's career stats with Pierre's editor, it will change it on the player card and HTML pages. As for the history files, those are found in your league's LEAGUE_NEWS_BOX/PLAYERS folder. Find the relevant player ID number and use it to locate the appropriate pxxx.txt file to edit.

Thank you.

One more thing, where can I find a player's ID number?

Also, should I edit the stats before clicking the proceed to next season button?

It doesn't delete the 2003year though. After simming, I editted a player's stats and in their Player HTML report, it has both 2003 siulated and the stats I entered.

Oh well.

That would normally be where you would see the player picture.

you need to enter the real stats over the simulated stats after the season has been completed using the career editor. It does not change their stats on the player card, only the html report. The player card will always have the simulated stats. I have already done this process for the past season and entered real stats for every MLB player.
