What Should We Do?
Ok, in the league I'm in right now, we had the Boston owner switch stadiums before the preseason without anyone knowing and so he had a whole lot larger seating capacity. Mid-way the commish found it and switched it back to his old stadium. I noticed it the other day and I brought it up in the forums. Boston says that he didn't know we could switch. Now we are trying to decide whether we should let it go, take away his extra money, take away his extra money and fine him, or expel him from the leauge. I personally am not for expelling him, but I want to know what you guys think.

Assuming the owner hasn't had any other issues with the league, I'd suggest taking away the extra money, but not expelling him. I can't imagine it's all that much money compared to team payrolls, so as a bit of a penalty you could split up that money equally between the rest of the teams in the league. Everyone else benefits from his mistake, whether it was intentional or not (although how it could have been an accident I don't know).
In addition, add a rule that specifies penalties for making unapproved changes to one's team/stadium/etc. If could be vague (e.g. up to the discretion of the Commissioner), but design it so that penalties are applied consistently so that there aren't any impressions of favoritism. Chris |

If it were me, I would not be able to trust the owner and would boot him imediately unless he was able to a) admit what he had done b) apologized for it c) assured me that it would not happen again. Even then, I would not feel comfortable with him and would watch his every move like a hawk.

lol, a public post wasn't neccassary, but for the record, he did have previous problems and the solution is now done. The new Boston owner is very happy to be in the league. Also for the record, he really didn't know.... but that wasn't the point, it was careless and careless isn't appreciated in a league of good quality such as this one.
