(Note: this started as just a question in the General boards, but after more experimentation I'm wondering if I've run into a problem)
I'm setting up a fictional league, using 20 real US cities. I've set the team market sizes based using a population scale. My settings remain intact until after I complete the player draft. Once the draft is done, OOTP trashes my market settings and comes up with its own. It appears that it is resetting the size based on the total salary of players drafted. So, in my case, NY drafted a lower payroll than KC, and NY ends up shrinking to a "Big" market while KC gets bumped up to "HUGE". I also notice that the TV contracts are reset accordingly. How can I create a new league that respects the initial market size settings? Or is this just not possible in the game?

I believe that this is correct, I thought that it was an option to rebalance things after the draft, so you didn't have too.
Otherwise I guess you'll have to hold off on entering the data until after the draft.. then none of the work you've done will be obliterated. |
