Can't complete purchase of 5.14 at $19.95
With the price reduction, thought I'd take the dive and give 5.14 a try. However, when I click the "complete purchase" button, I get the following message:
Your credit card could not be processed Credit card failed with err = 20 Database transaction error. Transaction was rolled back before purchase. Any ideas why this happening? |

I was able license my demo a few minutes ago. So, it should be working.

I've called elicense and sent them an e-mail. Got voice mail by telephone, and haven't heard anything from the e-mail. However, I don't think this is an e-license problem. I think it is a purchasing problem. I can't purchase the product online (see error message in initial post). Thanks to anyone who may have other thoughts.

My only idea is that you need their help since the "code" you list isn't in their "support" area on their site. I'm sorry for the problem however.

Just called the nice people at Via-Tech. Though they did not know why I was having the purchasing problem, they sent me an ID number to my home e-mail account, and charged my credit card directly. Very easy, very cordial. Hope it all works when I get home from work tonight. Thanks for the input Henry and Steve. Dutchdude - if you're still having the problem, call Via-Tech.

I just called Via-Tech and they still don't know what that error code is or what causes it. But they were able to do the transaction and give me the order number over the phone.
