Promoting from the DL during the playoffs
I have a quick question regarding postseason rosters. I just made the playoffs in the BBSC Current League, and I have Jim Edmonds on the DL. He will miss 2 weeks, which means I'll have him back if I win the first round.
My question is, do I need to carry him on the 25-man roster now, or can I promote him after the postseason starts? I know what the MLB rules are, but I'm also the number 2 seed and playing the wildcard team and a division rival in the first round, so we all know OOTP doesn't stick to MLB rules. ![]() So if I carry 25 players on the active roster and leave Edmonds on the DL, will I be able to demote someone and activate him when he's healthy, or will it tell me I can't make roster changes once the playoffs start?

You can make changes in between series, so I assume that includes DL moves. If Edmonds can't play now hold off until he is healthy.
Back up the league just in case, you cannot activate him after the first round. |

I have never been able to make any roster changes, at all, during the playoffs. No promotions, demotions or DL moves. My experience has been if you want someone available in the playoffs, they better be on the playoff roster when the first series starts. Just my experience.

I am almost certain you can move guys around, including from the DL, in between playoff rounds in an online league. You definitely cannot in the middle of a round.
As an easy test, you can create an "online league" - just make a league and turn the online league on.

unless the most recent patch changed it somehow, i've always been able to make changes in between playoff series on an online league.

I was able to do it in my solo league. Brought the guy off the DL straight to the major league roster. Just make sure there's someone on the big league team who's willing to go to AAA

You can promote/demote in between series. I think the problem is that the timing of these moves is very picky. Some online leagues stop simming immediately after the last game of the round. Others will sim through the off-days until the 1st game of the next round. It may have an impact on whether or not you can promote/demote depending on which of these your league does.

We're simming each home series (ie 2 games, then 3 games, then 2 games), but I don't know whether they're advancing through the off-days. Do you know which would allow me to make roster moves?
Based on what people are saying, it sounds like it's do-able, though I think I'm going to create a solo league anyway and test it out, just to be certain.
