Randall, I haven't any design, but just aesthetically, the first thing that comes to mind is that the title isn't centered- its off to the far right. Second, I think the leaderboard tables might be able to use a little work. On the positive side, I love the background of the pitcher in his windup...

Just added the leader board tables today... Don't have a clue how i want it to look yet. Looked at some other sites, have not seen a leader board that really struck my eye...
And thanks. I spent alot of time finding a background image i liked that was not too dark, baseball related, and that I felt went with the site. |

Only suggestiones here is a plain background, hard to read with images. Also stick with 2 colors max on the page.

The background i have is VERY VERY light, so i don't THINK it makes it hard to read (at least on my monitor)...
As for colors, I guess that might help.... I tend to use colors (liek bright red) to point out very important things.... |

looks clean and good
Maybe put the years by the 100-game winners and losers. |

I would take off the hover-link "bold" option. It's a bit irritating when the link you're trying to click on changes in size. It made it difficult to actually click on the name links on your leaderboard.
A tip to all web programmers: Make sure you preview your page in Netscape because a lot of what looks good in IE doesn't look good in Netscape. However, if it looks good in Netscape, chances are, it will look right in IE. Only other thing I would suggest is graphics or pictures. But don't abuse them like a lot of people do. |

"years by the 100-game winners and losers"
hmm, good idea, got to find a way to fit it, but definatly a good idea. "take off the hover-link "bold" option" will do. I kinda got annoyed by it myself recently. "graphics or pictures" I've experimented with this a bit, but seen so many tacky site, I descided to stay away frm it, but maybe I can try a few and see... Thansk for all the input guys... Guess I'll make more updates today |

I think right now you have too much writing on yours and not enough graphics. But even if you have 1 image on your site it can still look pretty ugly. It's all in how you lay it out. I figure I can't go wrong if I emulate a great looking professional site. They have already given me a great template on which to build on. I think the best advice is to search around the web for not only ootp online league sites but also professional sites with MLB information. You'll get plenty of ideas this way. |
