What is likely to cause the program to freeze

Hey all-
When i run OOTP4 and sometimes even when i ran ootp 3 the game will freeze up. On ootp 4 it appears to have a line across the screen when it freezes too. I have to actually unplug the computer to reboot in these cases. Now i play games like Civ 3 and such without problem so it just seems odd that only OOTP 3 and 4 do this. I have one a HP pavilion, 650 mhz, 128 sd ram, 30 gb hard drive, whatever the default graphics card is (i am guessing this is probably where the problem lies, its not a GeForce i know). I am at work right now or i would be more specific about the model and graphics card. Could you please give more detail as to when it actually appears to freeze or does freeze? What are the circumstances that lead up to this? As much detail as you can give the better.

The strange thing about OOTP4 is the freeze is random. Not a particular spot, page (froze on schedule, team pages, player pages, no pattern) or even time used. I have had the game freeze right after a reboot or sometimes use it for hours in a row without a problem. The only thing noticable is i tend to see a line across the screen when it freezes. Kinda like if you paused a 2 head VCR.

OOTP3 on the otherhand was always in the team link (ie pitching staff, lineups) area.

I hope this is the kind of info that helps answer the problem i am having. thanks-Don

First guess would be video drivers maybe, try to update them. Adding some RAM would help, but don't think that is the problem. See what happens there with the drivers and let me know.
