Import FA Crash

Hi..
I'm trying to import some free agents into the game but it crashes (no error message or anything, the game just shuts down.)

What I did was create CSV files from the Lehman database but it has my own players in it (4 guys.)

I think I've created the file correctly: I copied a line from the various tables into MS Excel and saved the file as a CSV. I'm using Excel XP.

I'm running Windows 2000.

I've tried importing the Free Agents before any draft has taken place (so there are no players on any team yet..) and afterwards but it still carshes. Any ideas?
