“Bad Person” Alert

I’m sorry to contribute to the negative energy (i.e. Cheating Stuff) going on around here but felt this is an important. I don’t intend this as a sad story but merely want to inform people.

I had a made a partnership with beatnikpoet13 to form a historical league which I have been creating, as some of you know I’ve been having some difficulties obtaining webspace. He contacted me and we agreed to work together. At first, everything seemed great but after a few days, I stopped hearing from him. I didn’t think it was a big deal since as a Yankee fan his attention would be elsewhere. But as time continued to go on and I didn’t hear anything I grew more worried. He wasn’t responding to my instant messages (I noticed him changing away messages) and didn’t respond to my e-mails either. After about a week and ½ of no contact things came to a head tonight. After, I aimed him and he didn’t respond I had a friend aim him. He responded immediately and then I aimed him again but got no response. Then I let him know that I considered things to be basically over and he signed off shortly afterwards.

Remangiii [11:15 PM]: hello
Remangiii [11:25 PM]: hi
Remangiii [11:27 PM]: (11:18) mybuddy: heya
(11:19) beatnikpoet13: ?

I know your there. Am I correct in assuming you don't wish to continue?

Remangiii [11:30 PM]: I'll take that as a yes. I suppose it would also be correct to assume that you won't return the money?

He had signed off before the 11:30 message came, my friends clock is also a little slower than mine or mine is a little faster than his. For the record the money in question was forty dollars I sent him to cover half the cost of the site. While he obviously wouldn’t have been responsible for this; I sent the money UPS so that was 10 bucks and I brought a program needed to use his preferred type of site for 35 bucks (that would probably still have some use). The honorable thing to do would be to return the first 40. It really doesn’t bother me that much, I’m mostly upset that he refused to let me know he didn’t want to continue even though he must have made the decision quite some time ago. For anyone interested that little he put up can be found at www.13circles.com/abl I have no idea how long that will stay up for.

Important Information about him is:

AIM: beatnikpoet13
E-Mail: zacharywisniewski@hotmail.com
OOTP Message Board Name: zsommers
A thread he started which I didn’t see till after the fact: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...threadid=46151

I have his address too, but I wouldn’t do that till him. I’m just disclosing this information so that others will be aware, as I said before I’m not looking for a shoulder to cry on. I know I shouldn’t trust strangers.

You don't really have to quallify like that do you? I'd advise not trusting anyone... regardless of the internet.

I resent that remark..... lol... plus Yankees have all the money anyways, so thats why you should never send us money...

On a serious note, give me his address, and we could pull a Jay and Silent Bob on his ass....lol

no, it isn't amazing, you simply jumped the gun here, his child was hospitalized and he simply needed some time to get his affairs in order. He will send you your money, your 'bad person' was nothing more than someone who had some very unfortunate circumstances occur right when you decided he was doing this to be biligerant. Enough said.

Not really.

He could have at least returned the guy's IMs.... explaining the situation. I can understand if he wasn't anywhere near his computer, I sure wouldn't have been... but he was seen changing away messages and the like.

I certainly don't think that remangii was crossing any line, it certainly seemed from his end that he was being had. If the gentlemen had indeed been in front of his computer for any amount of time, he could have dropped remangii a quick line explaining what the circumstances were.

if it had been me at my computer, i most certainly would have responded to remangiii's instant messages. however, i'm not the only one in my house who uses the internet, and sometimes they don't want to be bothered by the instant messages i get.

i don't feel the need to explain myself; i just wanted to clarify a few things. as it stands his money will be mailed back to him, so i'm considering this situation dealt with.

The situation has been resolved, I’m sorry if I over-reacted. I too hope that his son is better.

Completely understood... and I'm sure there are no ambivalent feelings or any stains on your reputation as a web-host.

Health and happiness to you and yours.

I doubt that there is a person that read this post that wouldn't have reacted the same way... Is he supposed to be psychic???? It's real easy to judge after the fact....
