The first baseman made a bad throw to the pitcher covering first, and then the first baseman dug it out of the dirt. See screenshot:

The alert 1b ran over, caught the ball on the dead run, and crossed the bag before the runner got there. I don't think it's what Markus had in mind though.

How about this one? A ground ball was hit to
my 1b man. He then gets the ball and throws it to himself. The throw goes in the dirt, but he still gets the out! I had to laugh, and then shake my head! ![]() [ March 06, 2002: Message edited by: Night2000 ]</p>
