Post e-license question

I suppose I should know the answer to this, but I don't.

The other day, I had a fit of stupidity and uninstalled and reinstalled the game without doing anything about the e-license. (I seem to have read somewhere that you should unlicense before you uninstall).

In any event, all seems to be well, but will something terrible happen eventually? Or what?

(I'm not sure I ever fully understood how the e-license works anyway).

No, you should be fine - the license is still working if you are running the game again after the reinstall. I think the idea of removing the eLicence before your uninstall is just a precaution in case there is a problem with the uninstall, better to be safe than sorry I guess.

Question

Killer - Wouldn't he have lost one of his licenses now? Instead of having two extra and using the one, wouldn't he have just one extra left?

That's what I would think, assuming he had to re-enter the ID upon reinstall. In that case, maybe he could call Via-Tech and try to get the second license back.

Much to my surprise, I didn't have to re-enter my ID.

i'm guessing that you still would have 2 licenses available. I think you can still contact Viatech to find out.

Yeah you use the same license # 3 times. But to save licenses, first before uninstalling, you have to unlicense the program before uninstalling. Go to CONTROL PANEL -> ELICENSE -> Choose "Out of the Park Developments" -> Right click on the icon -> Click "Unlicense".

You now have all your licenses back (assuming this is the only copy you installed).

Hope this helps.
