I play in a league that started in 2003 with real players, but drafted to different teams. We retained the statistics for prior seasons so that all players were not considered rookies for their first year of our season. However, I notice that I have players with less than 3 years major league experience eligible for arbitration. I thought a player needs to play for 3 seasons before arbitration kicks in? Is this because certain players, even though they have less than 3 years experience have "major league" contracts? If so, how do I know how many more years of arbitration I have with a particular player? For example, I would be more interested in signing a player to an extension if I know he only has one more year of arbitration vesus a player that may have 2 more years of arbitration.

This is an issue with the roster set that you used to begin your league and is not an OOTP bug/issue. Basically, when players were edited, their service time remained unchanged causing some players with no experience to appear to have it.
