Problem with pitching rotation...

in the playoffs my rotation does not seem to start the games my relievers are starting the games... Whats up? This is in 4.0B

I had the same thing with 4b. Going back to 4a fixed the problem.

Did you upgrade to 4b in the middle of a series, or before?

This seems to be a problem with Patch 4b. I also saw it reported over in the OOTP4 discussion

Well, I just checked some of the games in my league and this did not show up. Could you give me some additional info?

same thing in my league...It seems that the AI goes with the best pitcher it thinks is available even if it is a middle releiver...I had to play each game and then set the substitutions to Human then play the game...Once I started the game I simmed it out from there...very frustrating

Whoa, no clue here. I will test some this afternoon and see what I come up with. But the league I looked at just now had a couple of days simmed using the newest update and I check rotations and box scores and everything looked just fine, no relievers starting and all starters in the rotations.

Was this is the playoffs or regular season? So far I can only see it happening in the playoffs (and particularly when the patch is applied in the middle of a round).

In my case, it was especially frustrating since it wasn't even my best available pitcher who was being subbed in. I'm used to having to tinker with the rotation if I want to use a 4-man rotation in the playoffs... no big deal. But this time it refused to use anyone other than this #5 starter/mopup reliever.

I just sent Markus a note about this just now, no one mentioned to me before that this only appeared to be a playoff issue. I have not been able to test that yet but will.
At any rate, he knows about it now and the specifics as best they were relayed to me.

I doubt that anything will be done with this since it is v4 that you are referring to.
