Real Beisbol Starting Up, Needs Dedicated Owners

A friend of mine is starting a league called Real Besibol, I am the site designer, we are looking for active and committed owners that own ootp5. The league is a modern day league with rocco's roster set from the waiver wire, and we have no salary cap, dh in both leagues and a contraction draft. Once the league fills up we will have a acontraction draft based on this yr's regular season records.

We have contracted the following teams: BAL, DET, MON, PIT, MIL, COL

The teams that are taken are: FLA, CHC, ATL, OAK, BOS

All other teams are open, please post here if you are interested in joining. The site is currently being made and the temp site is @ realbeisbol.com. Take a look if you want.

When posting here for a team you need to include the following:
Name
Email
Aim
How many Leagues you are in
If you own the game or not

hope to hear from some of you guys. If you have any questions you can email me (Co-Commish)@ michaelfitterer6@hotmail.com or mfitterer022886 on aim. You can aslso contact Cody Hills (Commish) through aim at BigWillis16.

Exclamation

I wish to preface this statement by saying that I don't know mfitterer personally and have no personal complaints with him.

I also have no reason to believe Big Willis would be involved with anything underhanded.

I only post this post to give anyone who doesn't know anything about mfitterer's history a comprehensive view of his past in this forum.

That being said, anyone thinking of joining a league with mfitterer involved in an administrative capacity may want to check out the following links:

Link 2

Link 3

Link 4

Please feel free to draw your own conclusions.

EY215, I thank you for handling that as professionally as I could think of as possible, it means a great deal to me that you put the threads out there for them to make their OWN judgements, and you didnt force your opinion on anyone and didnt do anything than present them with some things to look at. I appreciate it greatly.

Darn

The Braves are already taken or I would of joined.

I'll definitely will have to watch the league to see how this turns out.

Curious, are the commishes going to have teams in the league?

yes we both have teams in the league, but there has been set up a fail proof system so that nobody, commishses included have a way of cheating.

Interesting, care to expand on the fool proof system?

ok, we will be having 3 league files on the site at all times, the beginning roster set, the one from the sim before and the current league file, so that anyone who wants can check at any time to see for their own seoves that there was no ratings changes or anything.

I've had my site sitting around lately, and while I sitll have 8 or 9 months left on it. I want to use it. So I figured I'd start a league. Mfitterer does have a bad reputation from before, but I will ALWAYS have a previous file from the sim before, to make sure none of his teams ratings change or what not.

This will be a great league, and we want to get it started as soon as possible.

Get them teams now

How would this fail proof system prevent say a commish running a sim multiple times until he was happy with the results? Or preventing someone in the league from creating an alter-ego, controlling multiple teams and making a questionable trade or two to load up one of them?

Is this league going to be in replay mode since no ratings from the orginal file are expected to change?

Just curious on some details.

It's not necessarily to prevent owners in a league from cheating. MFitterer has a TERRIBLE reputation of being a cheater, so the goal of having all three league files on there, is so everyone knows hes not messing with the ratings like people thought he was before.

Simming multiple times shows up, as it did before when MFitterer got caught, so I believe that rules it out. Unless theres another way to do it, that he was doing wrong.

The main accusation that was brought up was that of "changing ratingsto better the team" so that will be impossible to do, the other things could not be stopped but if they are sniffed out by anyone then that person will be removed from the league. Me and BigWillis have equal power so I can remove him and he can remove me if we suspect the other of cheating, granted there needs to be some proof and the person in question would have to explain...............

anyways, no this wont be a replay league we would have the beginning file up so that everyone can see how much a certain player went up since we started the league.

If you have any more questions ask away.

Couldn't a commish just boost up a player's ratings during the sim and then edit them back down to normal when it was over thusfore not showing up in the file?

So basically there is no fail proof system and it just comes down to trust.

Is it necessary to come on here and bash our league, making gm's not want to sign up? Give it a chance man.

He's had a bad past, sure. But no one ever proved anything on him, and this could and hopefully will turn into a great sim with the help of the GM's.

I'm not trying to bash anyone, the fail proof system he spoke of interested me is all.
