Maelstrom Legends, the 2nd Coming

My co-commish and I are trying to plan well in advance. Our league started with each team led by one Legend from the franchises history or identifiable with a team. We want to be prepared for when the original Legends retire 20 years down the road. Our question: Who would be the next best player to represent each team? Keep in mind that it may be a player who is currently playing since 20 years down the road they will have long since retired. We appreciate your input.

I like the idea of players famous for other reasons, mostly because its my idea

Examples:

Seattle (Pilots) - Jim Bouton
Kansas City - Buddy Biancalana
Minnesota - Les Straker
Cleveland - Joe Charbaoneau
New York (A) - Kevin Maas
San Diego - Mark Davis

Actually I'm enjoying thinking about the players. Maybe I'll just do it myself
