5.13 patch.....player problem

Well...In an online league I'm running, we have finished the Free Agency period and getting ready to head to Spring Training.

Ever since downloading the patch, GM's have told me the game is just releasing guys they've signed....I've put those players back on there correct teams. I close the game, start it back up and they get released again....same players.

I'm baffled...by this and now some players wont resign with that team...Need HELP!!!!

Yep, this same thing just happened in my online league. I had finished running spring training, and then noticed all of the signed players from Day 30 on certain teams got released after the free agent period, before proceeding with spring training.

I think it might have to do with the new patch feature allowing players to be released by the manager. I'm not sure, but my theory is that it may happen if an export is sent prior to signing those guys, but not before running ST. The master file will see that the players are not on the team's old exported roster, and decide that they have been released by the manager.

This also just happened to one of my owners that signed two free agents after ST and before Opening Day. When he sent the export, those players were promptly released after I imported.

Steve, any ideas?

I am not so sure it is a new problem with this patch. I also run and online league and noticed last season a problem.

I signed 3 fringe players to minor league contracts at the end of the season, I think at the end of the free agent bidding. They were released prior to the start of the new season.

At the time, I thought I did something wrong and that I must have just signed them until the end of the current year, even though it had only been a week or two in game time. No one else in the league said anything about released players so I just let it go since they were scrubs anyway.

Now I am in MisawaTD91 online league as well and alot of owners are having this problem. I signed about 10 players to minor league contracts during the last few rounds of the off season free agency period and now, just before the start of the new season, all those players have been released.

This is a patch problem and has been noted by the beta team. It occurs if players are signed by the commish and then a team is imported. Commissioners need to make sure that they aren't doing any signings before the imports are done.
