Invalid Player File

Anyone know offhand what would cause this to happen? I finished 1932 in a historical replay and after the coach hiring phase I exited the game (it saved with no problem) I had to reboot my system. Then I used Stickware's sched generator to do a new schedule with all-star game. When I opened OOTP5, it wouldn't load the league. Just gave me an "Invalid Player File". It had the league screen, but if I tried to click on teams or any other screen it would give me an invalid fault and close down....

Did you make a copy of the league before doing this? (Which is ALWAYS wise to do after each season) I don't really know but if you did I'd try it w/o the stickware sked and see if it works.

Sadly, no. But I was only a few years into the replay. It won't be a huge deal to restart. Just curious if the player file became corrupt somehow.

It is really hard to say, in all of the years I've simmed and leagues I've played and tested it has happened once w/ v5. Some folks have it happen more often. I think that alot of things can factor in to having a file go bad from, hardware beginning to fail to a fragmented HD to a virus or just having too many programs open and not enough memory for them.
