Starting Pitcher in Playoffs

I just began the World Series and was going to play the first game when I discovered that my opponent was starting a middle reliever with no duration ratings as a starter in game one. On the schedule screen where it lists the starting pitcher for the game a good starting pitcher is displayed and he is fully rested, but when I go to the lineups a reliever is displayed instead. I canceled the game and started over to see what would happen and the computer again switched pitchers before the game, but this time to a different reliever with no duration ratings as a starter.

I am running version 5.12. Has this been reported before?

More Information

I did a little more investigation into the problem and I think I found something. The #1 pitcher in the rotation for my opponent got hurt in the division series and when his turn came up again to pitch, that team began using relievers to start games. Here is what happened:

Division Series:
Game One was started by the #2 pitcher in the rotation.
Game Two was started by the #1 pitcher in the rotation. He got hurt.
Game Three was started by the #3 pitcher in the rotation.
Game Four was started by the #2 pitcher in the rotation.
Game Five was started by a middle reliever
Game Six was started by a middle reliever (they won the series)

Game One of the World Series was going to be started by a middle reliever until I aborted the game. As I said before on the schedule screen it was reporting that a starting pitcher was going to pitch and then switched it.

Everything was going fine until the injured pitcher's turn came up again in game five, and then it got all fouled up and starters are no longer starting anymore.

I looked at the rotation for my opponent and it has not changed, the injured pitcher is still listed as #1 in the rotation.

Hope this helps.

One Last bit of Information

I was able to confirm that the cause of this problem is a starting pitcher being injured during the playoffs. I used the utility that turns manager mode off, put the injured pitcher on the DL for the computer team, and the problem went away -- starting pitchers are being used again.

By the way, does anyone know what the record is for replying to your own message?
