Just putting out a feeler about a new idea I had for a league. After looking over the Baseball Maelstrom league, I had the idea to start a league the plays weekly tournaments instead of a set schedule.
Each week, one or more of the teams would host the tournament and they would determine the format of the tournament. How each team places in each tournament is worth points towards the season title. Each tournament championship is also worth cash for your club. I envision three types of tournaments: Regional, National, and Majors. The Regionals will be the most common but also the smallest and worth the least number of points in the standings and only teams from the hosting division can participate. Any team can compete in National tournaments and there are 1-2 a month. Majors are held infrequently throughout the year (4-6 per season)and are worth the most money and points. Other things I am wrestling with is having to win a Regional to qualify for a Major, etc. (Think PGA-type) As I said, the specifics are still in development and up for negotiation but this is the basic idea. Fictional or real is up for debate. If you have any interest at all in a league like this, contact me at dazennites@hotmail.com. Tony Pellegrino

Sounds interesting, but also sounds real difficult to pull off. Weak teams will cetainly get the shaft continuously dont you think.
