My second logo - the Moose Jaw Moose
I remember not long ago someone asking for a logo for this team, so here is my take on it.
I really wanted the moose head to be a detailed rendering, but I just can't draw with anywhere near enough skill to do that. So, I went with a stylized version instead. I actually traced the basic head shape and the antlers from a couple of moose images I managed to find on the internet. Comments welcomed.

I think both of your logos so far are excellent. Your style is different than some of the other creators here and diversity is almost always a good thing.
And no offense to whomever came up with the MJM name, but I've refused to download any of the logos for it because I just didn't like the name. This logo got me to download it for potential future use.

Le Grande Orange: Super Job again...real good design...very creative with the Moose mounted on a diamond...very good artwork on the Moose, too.
You are batting a thousand...keep the logos a-comin'. Is the plural of "Moose"..."Meese"?...just wondering? |

And I am now using this logo in my new fictional league. I was going to go with 10 teams to start off but decided to go with 12 (for two leagues of six teams) and added the Moose Jaw Moose and the Yukon Instinct from Cuss.

I like your logos as well, Le Grande.
Nice symmetry and the pastels look good with the graphic artististic stylings.

that's nice. really nice.
When game-sized, the "moose jaw" at the top appears really small...but otherwise I'm very impressed. I don't have the use of photoshop or anything interesting...just MS Paint. So, the below is the best I could do. Anybody have a good free paint program? Last edited by drprestwood; 09-30-2003 at 02:32 PM. |

I can't think of any offhand, but if you do some web searches there should be at least a few good ones available. Of course, you could always use KaZaa to find something really good... *ahem* but not that I'm recommending that method.
![]() I just realized too that I put second base in the wrong place. It should be centered on the diamond lines, not below them. I never noticed that before... I think the reason the top Moose Jaw line comes out small is that I didn't want it to be too big, plus the font is a really narrow one and it has an outline on it too, all of which I think makes it meld together when smaller. When I make the logos I make them fairly big and then reduce them later, which means sometimes they don't look quite as good small as they do when in their original size. Oh, and thanks everyone for the nice reviews.

Good start, dr.
Keep working on it...you have potential. I liked the way you used the white to separate the other colors. |
