Post DH ?/Problem

Hi, am running an online league where i rearranged the divisions. I set the DH off in both of the leagues, but for some reason whenever a team of the old AL is at home the game still uses a DH. Any solutions?

This is a problem introduced by the realignment, when teams switch leagues, for some reason they retain the characteristics of the old league from when the league was created. (I believe the solution to this is to have the game check all this at the start of each season) You will also have a problem with the league records as any record set by a member of that team will show up in the wrong league.

There isn't really a way to fix it, other than to hope maybe the rule will get straightened out next season (which is VERY unlikely to occur).

What you will have to do to change teams from league to league is to simply rename the teams and trade all players from each roster. (Turn off the financials first and be sure to swap all settings, coaches, etc. if you so desire...) Then if you are adding a team to a league use the Add Team tab in the league that is getting the exra team or teams and delete the extra team (the old copy) from the other league. (Note - there must be an even number of teams in each league so 15 and 15 will not work)

Scott,

If you make the swap before the initial draft of a new league, is this still a problem? For example, using current rosters with a structure of the late 80s, I moved Milwaukee back to the AL. I have yet to do an initial draft. Will I still have to just rename teams to prevent Milwaukee from having pitchers hit and Milwaukee leaders from showing up as NL?

Not sure exactly when the game checks Shane...
so you may run into this problem or you may not... Did Milwaukees team number change? I believe the problem stems from the game not checking the team numbers prior to the start of each season. I was thinking it might be worth asking TigerFan to see what he did to get around this in the HoB (he's run into the Milwaukee switch already).

That said I wouldn't be surprised if you ran into an issue..
