dbacks:

It's good to see logos on this forum again. I don't enjoy it as much since you, Shub and Cuss16 went to Cuss16's Graphics website. The mods forum is missing a great entertaining and useful ingredient now.

I HOPE ALL OF YOU GUYS WILL DO LOGOS HERE LIKE YOU USED TO DO...Cuss16, dbacks, knuckler, Markmeister, T. C. Dale, Shub and others.

It really added something special to this forum.

Suggestion (I know you've seen that word from me before when all of you did some 80 GREAT, GREAT. GREAT LOGOS ON THIS MODS FORUM).

Since they are the SUN Devils, use a bright sunburst or sunshine.

I noticed that logos are hard to get done on the other website.

What happened to Markmeister and knuckler?...never see anything posted there or here by them.

I have created another league and will need 5-6 logos soon.

I may commit heresy and post the request here.

I was one of the people that didn't like all of the logos here because it seemed cluttered but now I do miss them.

I also noticed that it has become hard to get requests filled on the Graphics Forum but I figured it was a time issue more than anything. Bring back the Mod forum requests! ;p

Andy: Thanks for changing your mind and the support.

I'm not criticising Cuss16's website...it was nice of him to do...it just seems only Shub and dbacks do logos anymore.

Logos take time and I'm sure these guys have a real life and I understand it can take a while to complete all the requests.

Just want them back here.

It seemed to work better...and made the Mods page more interesting.

I just don't really like these forums anymore, I probably only poke in maybe once a week, if even that.

I don't run online leagues or play historical seasons, so there isn't anything here that really interests me anymore. I'm not criticizing all the different mods or mod makers in any way, it's just not my bag. This is the best place you could come for all of the different mods and such.

Now graphics, on the other hand, is what I like to do but these forums are so cluttered with everything that I don't really enjoy wading through all of the posts to look for graphics requests.

I remember probably 2 months ago everyone was complaining about this, and now it has become reality. If the mod forums could have just been split into just 2 different categories (like graphics and mods) instead of just "mods" then we wouldn't have this problem.

I enjoy the heck out of myself over at Cuss' forums, and I know everyone else does too. What was just a few topics for logo requests now has evolved into an online league for members, along with everything else you could want to post about. I drop in there once every couple of hours because it is so active. We have a tight little community over there and it's awesome.

The forums over here used to be fun like that too.
So unless something changes over here, I'm going to stay where I'm at. Graphics related stuff just doesn't exist here anymore.

^^What he said. Except for the once a week part. I'm over here every day, but when I am, I always have a seperate browser open and at cuss's site.

Shub and dbacks:

I understand what you are saying. It really is a shame that OOTPB wouldn't create a Mods forum and a separate Graphics forum.

As the old Elvis-Sound Alike, Ral Donner, used to sing:
"You don't know what you've got until you lose it"...or as William Bell used to soulfully sing: "You don't miss your water till the well runs dry". Sorry, I was a dj for 32 years. Music and baseball are all I know.

Henry, Steve, Scott: Why did OOTPB not create a Graphics Forum?

Why not change the OOTPB old versions forum to Graphics?

Just have a Comments and Feedback Forum for all versions.

The forum for old versions doesn't seem to be very active.

wow, 32 years.

Anyeway, I'm kind of caught in a dilemna here. I wouldn't mind having a seperate graphics forum here, but then that would basically kill cuss's site. I really enjoy his site, and if we created a seperate graphics forum here, no one would ever go to his site anymore. But, it's not that I don't want one here, I just don't want cuss's site to be lost.

We will hold a chat tonight at 8 pacific if anyone is interested in coming. The main topic that will be focused on is whether or not My graphics forum is neccessary and should be kept going. Anyone is welcome to come and drop in. http://www.cuss.proboards20.com

If they do decide to have a request forum there will be absolutely no need for my graphcis forum, therefore it will be deleted. I do not want to divert dbacks, Shub, Olsen's (just to name a few) attention to 2 different forums.

Again anyone is welcome to join the chat and talk this over.

I'm with you, dbacks. I don't want to harm Cuss16's site.

I just like everything associated with OOTPB to be on the OOTPB Forums.

This is important for continuity sake. I hope it doesn't happen, but Cuss Graphics could be here today and gone tomorrow. Look at the OOTPlinks site. A wonderful site, but it may not last.

I would hope that OOTPB would step forward and do something to make logos, graphics, mods, stadiums and all things important to the game accessible here on the OOTPB Forums.

Cuss16:

Please don't even consider removing your Graphics website. It may be the only place for us to get logos. Shub's and dbacks are real happy with your site. It would be a shame to disband it.

Is it possible for you to keep your site even if OOTPB set up a Graphics Forum?

Maybe this is "much ado about nothing" by me. I'm just being selfish.

I posted another thread in which I made a suggestion to set up an OOTPB Graphics Forum and asked that Henry/Steve reply.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR GRAPHICS SITE.

I can assure you the graphics forum will not be gone, even if for some weird reason i am gone, dbacks, Shub and others will still be able to post and answer requests in the forum. There's no reason for it to stop. And if all graphics guys stop doing graphics, same thing would have happened anywhere even if it's here in the ootp forum.

And I'll have to stop the graphcis portion of the forum if OOTP decides to set up a section just for graphics. My forum would just divert all requests and the energy of all graphics people and making it even harder to get your requests done.

All of this will be talked over in tonights chat.

And if its' the logging-in that bothers people, I'll tell you why I set that in the first palce. First of all, I wanted to limit the requests so only people who bother to register will get their requests in.

Second, I wanted people to come back again and again to make it a nice community where everyone can talk anything other than ootp. We have a a few members from puresim and mogul.

Third, I wanted to be able to get back to the requesters instead of just making logos like a machine for "invisible" requesters.

Regardless of what happens to the forum, I just want to say thanks to adventureran for providing the web space we needed and being so supportive along the way. I dont think he got enough credits he deserved. Thanks.

Yes, BIG, BIG thanks to adventureran. And I totally agree with you on all your points about the logging in.

Eugene, do you think you'll be abkle to participate in our chat? You won't have to worry about registering and logging in (I don't think). Just enter a screen name, and voila! That is 8 pm our time, so if I remember where you live correctly, that's 10 pm your time.

I meant crazy or bizarre reasons that i cannot imagine. Since nothing can really stop me from clicking on my browser and visit the forum. Even if i am unable to produce any more logos, I can still visit and reply.
