cato history problem
Been awhile since i used the cato program (excellent program by the way), well i got the one for ootp5 and the exporter.
It works except its stuck at line2 of players.csv saying its most likely in the nick name or home state. Now i dont see any weird characters in the nick name field unless it just doesnt like the nickname but in the homestate it has the country, state and city. Could that be the problem Im using Ankits database. |

The most common error here is nicknames that include quotes. If there are players in the CSV file with nicknames in quotes then the Cato prog errors out, so remove the extra quotes on any nicknames. Example of a nick in quotes - John "Candy Man" Candelaria will show up in the CSV file as John ""Candy Man"" Candelaria. No idea if the Ankit rosters have quoted nicknames.
That is the only CSV error I have seen and I see it frequently, but if others have experienced other CSV errors I hope they post them as well as I have no other idea's on this error - good luck. |

Another tip regarding program errors - often times an error is actually on the line before the one listed as the problem line, so if you have an error on line 2 check line #1 as carefully as you check line #2. This is a troubleshooting error message tip for any amateur programmers as well
