Confessions of a PWBL Fanboy
Another in a long laundry list of reasons why holyroller (Andy Brown) is the best commish I've played in a league with, and why the PWBL is by far the best league I've had the pleasure of being associated with.
Here are the 1949 PWBL season ending totals versus the 1949 MLB season ending totals for several offensive categories. This is where Andy's hard work test simming the league totals before each season pays dividends. PWBL first followed by the corresponding MLB figures for the year. .262 BA .341 OBP .386 SLG---PWBL .262 BA .341 OBP .384 SLG---MLB 3791 2B 781 3B 1,716 HR 10,158 BB 9,272 K's---PWBL 3602 2B 761 3B 1,704 HR 10,032 BB 8,856 K's---MLB Take the time to compare league totals in other historical leagues you play in with real MLB totals and I doubt seriously you will find this stunning degree of accuracy. Job well done, once again Andy! P.S. Louie, you are a mensch and you will be missed. Hope you are feeling better, real soon!!! Keep up the good fight.
