Need help--Almanac missing some data
I searched the manual and the forum and could not get an answer.
Just finished my first season. I think my "almanac settings" are wrong. The Almanac is missing some reports: Past Golden Bat, Arm, Rookie award winners...Golden Glove winners...and performance categories such as 3+HR, 15+Strikeouts, and No hitters (yes, there were players who should have been listed in these categories). It does give 20+ winners in the performance categories. In "Almanac settings" the "auto update" is "yes"...and "include player reports" and "include all box scores" are set to "no". I suspect this could be the problem...incidentally the manual doesn't have anything about this section. Also one player has his real life stats (1988-1992) and 1957 (my first year) in the "career leaders". How did the game include his real life seasons? I had already played my first season in OOTB4, but reset it and replayed it in OOTB5 because of the new Almanac. Is it possible to "find" the missing categories from the Almanac? Is it possible to edit and remove the "real life stats" from the "career leaders"? Does anyone know the answer to these problems? |

Did you proceed to the next season yet? Some of the almanac sections are not entered until the proceed to next season button is selected.
Also, the career leaders are based off of numbers that have already been entered at the beginning of your first season. There is an option to clear the record books so that the entries will be fresh from your league. |

I proceeded to the next season and then noticed the missing data in the Almanac.
Does anyone know the default settings for the "Almanac settings"? I deleted the box scores and messages from the "News" folder before I proceeded to the next season. Does the Almanac need "player records" and "box scores" to function properly? I had them in the "off" position in "Almanac settings". |

I would imagine so, if you want to delete stuff I'd wait till AFTER the proceed button is pushed.

Would someone check the "Almanac settings" in the Almanac and let me know what "automatically update", "include players reports" and "include all box scores" are set "on" or "off"?
None of this is in the manual. Once I know this, I'll just reset my leagues and replay the season with those settings and see if the Almanac works properly. Thanks for the help. |

I put the "Almanac settings" all in the "on" position and simmed a season and the almanac worked properly.
