Historical League Question

I just started a historical league in 1977, I want to add rookies to their real teams but I do not want to expand to more teams. When it comes time to add Florida and Colorado will I still be able to add rookies to the other teams if I do not add these new teams? Will it still work and just send these teams rookies into the free agent pool? Thanks in advance

If you don't expand the league by adding new teams then I believe these players should just go into the FA pool(not 100% sure since I don't use the historical play much).

But what is wrong with adding Florida, they are the best team. You must be an Indian fan.

They go to the FA pool but you can only access them by going into league setup and clicking edit free agents. Otherewise you can't add them to any team. If you just go to the FA in the pull down menu, all players from expansion team will be unable to see them.
