Historical League Seeks Big Bird

Playball www.playball-online.com is seeking an owner for the Baltimore Oriole franchise.

This league has just completed it's inaugural 1954 season which was capped by a stunning victory by the beloved New York Giants. The Baltimore Orioles were lousy but did boast rookie of the year, Dusty Rhodes.

Free agency begins next week for the 1955 season, so now is a good time to join. We boast a fabulous NY Giant owner, an outstanding commissioner, and several owners.

This is one of those elite leagues that you hear so much about and wonder how you can get into it. Now is your chance.

If you are interested in matching wits with some of the best (or at least one of the best), please send me an email. We will select the new Oriole ownership group by sometime Sunday as our league leadership is away and I am posting this remotely from some unknown Canadian location, not in the United States.

Gee, what kind of message are we sending here? One post is looking for "great owners", another for "elite managers", and we're looking for "Big Bird"?

Well, anyway, he's partially right. It is a great league with elite owners and even Brainiac couldn't screw this one up.
