Bug in STB2k3 / OOTP4 ??? Online league Question

Okay In my online league, apparantly at the player trade screen you can forgo the commish password by hitting enter, then when it locks it down you can select a team behind it and it goes on as if u entered the password

THIS ALLOWS TEAMS TO USE OTHER TEAMS SCOUTS

which is quite unfair to those who paid for them

btw i am running STB patched to 1.06

Correct.. online leagues and Scouts do not go too well together... Too many ways for people to skimp on scouts and then use someone else's. Plus it causes issues with webpage posting of the league, etc.

does this bug exist in ootp5?

It is not really a bug, its a game flaw I would say.. The game just is not designed well to use scouts in online leagues.

The game just does not lock you into a specific scout's view..

thx guys, i just set all scouts to avg and repayed all the teams how much they paid for their scout

In the IABL, we really wanted to use coaches. But, unfortunately, scouts come with them(Markus PLEASE split up coaches and scouts!!). Anyway, we use BOSI to offset scouts. Currently, BOSI only shows true ratings and talents, so we use that to scout the talent in the league, and basically ignore what OOTP tells us.

The matchup has worked pretty well so far.
