I just purchased and installed the game. After starting a new league, I found that the ballpark background makes it extremely difficult to read any of the text in the league menues since the text is white. Any way to change the background to something darker or make the text black or navy blue?

Change your "color depth" on the desktop.

My current settings are:
Color Quality: Highest (32 bit)
Screen Resolution:1024 x 768 Pixels
True Color
HP Pavilion MX75 on Intel(R) 828456G/GL Graphics Controller

I still can't read any of the text...it's too light. I darkened my monitor brightness and contrast to no avail. I love OOTP but this is unusable.

Not sure what to tell you, very few folks have had any type of problem like this. I know a few months back my monitor was going bad and gradually it harder and harder for me to see certain screens or colors both in the game and on the web etc. I finally had to break down and buy a new monitor, not sure if that could be the case, but if it has been awhile it could be.

Nope, the system is 7 months old and working well with all other programs. I appreciate your attempts to be of assistance. I guess my next move is emailing the venders tech support. :-(

I would try adjusting the color depth, it isn't always the highest color quality that is best in all cases-especially where games are concerned.

Do you mean 16 bit? Changing the resolution doesn't appear to do anything.

OK, got the fix here. I unchecked "true color" and checked "high color" and it's working just fine now. Doh! That was simple enough! I REALLY appreciate your patience with this issue. Thanks!

I knew that somewhere in there it had to be able to be adjusted so that it was "A-ok". Glad it worked out. Enjoy.
