Logo request for a team
Yeah, um...would anyone be willing to make me a logo for my team? They're called the St. Louis Bombers. I already have a logo for them which is being used as my avatar right now but it's just a few letters. If anyone would be willing to make me a different one I'd appreciate it. If not, no big deal.

Will this work okay for you? If you want something different, let me know, and I'll be glad to do another.

I like that logo a lot, thank you very much. Too bad I don't have any other teams I need logos for.

The APLB's a 19th century league... I think the logo you have as your avatar is perfect.

*shrugs* It doesn't matter really. It's all fantasy anyways. I'm in a league that's in the 1930's and it's got players in the league that are playing today. Their age and birthdate and stuff were just changed to fit to back then. It's all about personal preference really.

I didn't realize it was an old league. I might have been able to do something with an older look to it. Or like Manny said, the one in your avatar is actually quite suitable for a 19th century logo.

Right... I'm the New York Young Giants in the APLB, when I first saw your logo, I thought, "Hey, what a good logo!"
Anyway, if you logo folks are looking for a good project, a set of custom designed early 20th century logos for real MLB teams would be a great one, IMO... it's hard to find really authentic looking logos from that time period.

Just a thought: logo requests might actually be better off posted Here like dbacks posted before. Since many don't like the mod forum being crammed with requests. However at the other forum I will actually prefer it to be crammed with logo/graphics requests.

I just hope that we don't lose some of the excellent logos that have been created around here because either people become too afraid to ask for them or some logo makers don't visit your site on enough of a regular basis to satisfy what people are looking for.
Part of the enjoyment that I get out of coming here is being able to download some great logos for my own personal collection. There are a ton of logo sites out there already, personal and professional alike, but this tends to have enough to satisfy without having to visit too many sites. It would be a shame to start cutting back on the great work that this site has produced over the past several months. The reality is that this is a mods forum and logos are mods anyway that you look at it. If we start restricting this forum from having logos soon after it will be something else and then we will end up with only having questions about Cato’s History utility and not much more. People should not be made to think that they should go off-site in order to request a logo. Please don’t take offense to any of this Cuss since we all know that your intentions are good. However, no matter how great your site becomes it will not be an end all solution to any issues that some people have around here with logos. Let us all remember that since the majority of threads in this forum are about logos it would be a safe bet that the majority of visitors are interested in seeing them remain here. well either way it will work, I'm gonna keep running my site and forum and if people decide to post requests here still, my forum will turn to a more private one where others can post their requests directly for me.

Like I said, no offense intended. I just don't think that we should be making people think that it would be "better" if they didn't post their requests here. Promoting the use of your site is a great thing but we shouldn't scare others away from what has made this forum a great place.

Non taken. From all the complaining that i read made me think that all the request threads are actually making a lot of people not visiting the mod forum...guess it's actually the other way around...

I think that the overall problem with the logo requests is the lack of organization. This is a problem that is currently being worked on and hopefully will be resolved soon enough.
This is a very popular forum and the fact still remains than the majority of threads are logo requests. If someone doesn't visit here simply because of that fact then they probably don't have a need for logos, right now. Once the organization is in place then it will be easier for them to visit here only a couple of times a month, if that, to see what is new with the other types of mods that are not graphics related. Once again, I love your sight and your contributions to the community are no small thing. Your effort alone is noteworthy but the time and energy you spend for the OOTP members is even more impressive. I am glad that you didn’t take any of this the wrong way since I wanted to make these points but was afraid that it would come across too personal. |
