Mods Requests: Addons/Rosters/ Stadiums
This would be a good place for your requests for stadiums, and third party addons questions, and roster programs.

Right. That will give the mods creators a place to start.
This is something they are asking for, that you all be a BIT more organized in your requests. If you have small (less than 6 requests) you should post here, if you have more than that, you can point to a thread as well. Organization is the key, guys.. No one can figure out where to look any more

i dislike all the Logo request, i also have started not to check the mod thread due to "logo request" thread after "logo request" thread
not that i don't think logos are important, i myself have asked for some, but i asked for logo requests for more than one team, it is the one team logo requests that are over running the board thanks TC for putting this together :P |

I like Pierre's all-star team editor, I think the next step is an award editor so we can choose MVP, Cy Young, etc

i believe someone had a hr derby simulator that they posted at some point, it had a bunch of mathematical equations that it went through using ratings to manufacture a total.

I guess folks aren't paying attention to this request with their requests. Most likely, they're afraid their request will go unnoticed and get buried in one thread. Perhaps we can come up with another solution to better orgainize them.
Although I agree they tend to dominate this forum, I personally love seeing the results. Some of the finest logos, banners, etc. have come by way of these requests. Last edited by adventureran; 07-15-2003 at 10:44 AM. |

I know Ran, but, that is the nature of the beast.
Most think they can't be seen if they don't have their own identity, but, what can you do?

Where would the members "who don't want logo requests posted in the Mods forum" like for them to be posted?
Is it possible for OOTPB to add another forum just for logos? I agree with adventureran that I really enjoy looking at the logos in this section and would hate to see them banned...unless there is another place where we can view the requests and finished logos. I have never found this forum to be cluttered with logo requests. Logos seem to stimulate a lot of interest. Over 4500 views resulted from my recent requests for 81 logos. Very few posts get that much interest. I found the best way to get a logo produced was to post only 2 to 4 requests at a time...but keep the total requests in one thread. I did this at the request of the guys who designed them. They said to keep them in one thread so they could easily find them when they wanted to work on them. When 10, 15 or 25 are posted at one time, they don't seem to get produced...a few at a time seems to get much better results. I wish the logo designers would post a thread giving their opinions on this subject. We should post the requests where they would like them and in a fashion they prefer. |

This was posted in another thread as a conversation between Cuss and myself about the idea of him running a separate site for logos. I was under the impression that he was attempting to accomplish what everyone was talking about in this thread on an overall basis instead of a personal one. Therefore, I am reposting it here just in case it makes any difference to the outcome of the issues at hand.

BTW, it should be noted that on the front page of the Mod forum every thread is about graphics except for 1 about the all-star editor and several about Cato's History utility.
If we move the graphics out of this forum there would be less than 10 threads that have been started or replied to within the last 2 days. This forum would essentially become dead. |

Eugene... go back and read my threads for the seperate sub forums. If someone wanted 30 , they SHOULD put a seperate thread up, due to the large amount of logos needed..
But, folks should use the folders I set up for single or smaller ones just to get it organized. I do not want to see the logos banned, heck no. I just want to see it ORGANIZED. and frankly it isn't lately. Eugene had a big need and that is how it should be handled. But for others to pile on in his thread is not the way to go. They should be handled differently. ![]() Is that clearer? And adding another forum just for logos says that the other third party programs and programmers would get shorted, I think it can be handled better, if folks would post in the proper place. I will see if I can get Henry to sticky those Mods folders, see if that will help.

I do not understand why anyone doesn't want logo requests in OOTP Mods.
Please give me the reasons for your differing opinion. I have no problem scanning the "post subject" when looking at the Mods section. I select the ones that interest me and skip the ones that don't. Logos and stadiums are my main interests. One day I would like to add facepacks and game editors, but probably will not be able to do them at my current low level of computer expertise. I prefer all things related to OOTP in one central location on the OOTPB Forums. Cuss16, T C Dale. and couriers are all very valuable members of the OOTPB Community. I do not want to offend them (they are trying to solve the problem) or anyone who would prefer no logos in this section. I just want one place to go for "all things OOTPB". I hope someone will give me the other side of the question. Right now I don't understand the opposing view. My apology to T C Dale if this is not a discussion thread about "logos". I just noticed the "post subject". I will delete my posts if necessary. Sorry. Last edited by Eugene Church; 07-17-2003 at 08:33 PM. |
