FA pickups during the season

Whenever I try to pick up a FA during the season, it doesn't work. The player is taken off of FA but not put onto my team. My league was created with TotalMinors, so I dont know if I did something wrong. So I was wondering if anybody knows why this is happening and how to fix it. I dont know much about computers, so any help would be good. Thanks in advance.

Are you in manager mode, or not? Maybe your dont have the right team selecting him.

LOL, i just figured it out.

Well my step-dad and I are both in the league and he accidently was on my team I guess, so the guy obviously went to my team. I could have sworn he was on his own team when he offered him the contract, but I guess not. Well thanks for helping me realize my stupidity.

Lol its cool. I run an online league and it happens ALL the time. Its terrible. Now I know to check.
