I traded my son....
He ended up becoming a Catcher (4.5 stars), and was drafted #1 overall. I gave up 2 good prospects to get him in a trade. After 2 seasons I traded him elsewhere because he had dropped to 3 stars and couldn't get out of AA. (Manager was Average in Developing Hitting - yeah, he got fired too)
He's 20 now so hopefully I haven't ruined his career but I think Christmas is gonna be awfully uncomfortable this year...

I refuse to draft my own children, though I did trade for one at the end of his career. He was somewhere in his late 30s with a career year happening - he had already passed his best past numbers in the middle of July and I needed a big bat. I traded for him, and he promptly reverted to form and had a mediocre second half. The bastard. I moved on to a new team that offseason and he had two more decent years for my former team before retiring.

I've cheated once..
Turned off manager mode, put me in pos. to draft my son. And hey... it turned out to be the best for me. He ended up being an all-star catcher whos 36 with 379 HR's right now.. Not so bad.

Nahhh...I'm sure your son will go on to have a wonderful career which should help immensely in paying for the years of therapy he will need to undergo. |

Pretty funny. If I had a son, I don't think I could trade him.
I have two daughters, I'm going to do the same thing. Thanks for the idea. |
