OOTPLinks is renewed, revamped, and ready to go!!

After some time of being stagnant, I have totally revamped the OOTPLinks.com website!!

It is now interactive, in that, you can add links and downloads straight to the site. (downloads won't be ready til Monday)

Here is the lowdown on the new site:

OPEN FTP FOR ADDONS
This site is interactive, in that you can add mods, skins, facepacks, and anything else you created for OOTP to our site by ftping it to our Downloads section! We'll house it--all you have to do is upload it! Then go to our Downloads section and add a link to your addon for the whole OOTP universe to download! Then, post an announcement on the front page of the site for all to see!

WEBLINKS
You can also take advantage of our Weblinks section by adding links to all your favorite OOTP sites in the proper area OR by perusing our Weblinks section for great links to online leagues, solo sites, and many other great OOTP and baseball, in general, sites!

OOTPLINKS TO HOST ONLINE LEAGUES
In addition, OOTPLinks.com will now host two online OOTP leagues!! That's right, if you have an online league and need hosting, contact us and we'll discuss making you one of OOTPLinks.com's leagues! You'll get a link on the OOTPLinks front page and 150 Megs of space to run your league on!! Don't wait.......space is limited!

POST NEWS TO FRONT PAGE
You can post news/info straight to the OOTPLinks site by going to the Submit Newslink and selecting the proper topic to post your news under. We have topics for Downloads, Addons, and many others........including topics for Steve Kuffrey, Joe Stallings, and even Markus Heinsohn himself!! Yes, children, Markus himself will be posting his news on this site from time to time. If you have general info to tell the OOTP world, post it under the "Tell It" topic and it'll be posted to the front page immediately..........keep it clean, please, Go directly to the Topics link to sort news by topic!

OTHER FEATURES
There are many other features to take advantage of, such as private messaging, feedback, FAQ, and the Journal feature, which lets you keep an OOTP journal here for all to read. We'll feature journal entires on the front page from time to time.

Thanks for your support and please add your links/addons/mods since the site will only be as good as the stuff YOU put on it!!

As you can see, this site can become THE #1 portal for anything OOTP! All you have to do is add your links/downloads/news to the site.

Please register on the site and start adding content.

I plan a FAQ on uploading your mods on Sunday and possibly a small forum for talk about leagues or mods.

Most likely b/c the DNS hasnt propogated yet.

Replace the 'ootplinks.com' part of the link with
'209.123.255.117/~wwwoot/'
for now.

Once the DNS propogates, this will work perfectly.

how long does it usually take before a mod is downloadable.

The mods that you placed links to were authorized and now are visible on the Downloads page.

After Monday, in addition to being able to place LINKS to your mods that you have on the web somewhere, you'll be able UPLOAD the mod to the OOTPLinks server.

Yes, we'll house them for you if you don't have somewhere to place them on the net!

Any other major benefits of the site or additions you plan to make? I just registered and posted, seems like a great host you registered you just need to make it worthwhile.

I'd call hosting mods and online leagues, a forum for interaction, posts by Markus, Joe, and other 400 brass, while providing a link base where you can add your link immediately and a forum for interaction pretty 'worthwhile'.

If everyone would add links to their leagues, etc, while either uploading mods and linking to them or linking to mods hosted elsewhere, this site would become a wealth of knowledge for the OOTP community.

I plan on an extensive FAQ section as well.

There's also a 'journal' for each registered member. I might highlight journal entries that are good.

Ideas are welcomed.
