Angry I Was Ripped Off!!!

when i paid 30 dollars for this game they said they would email me a number so i could have it to open the game. when i paid my money and gave them my email address they never botherd to send me the number. i never got anything as far as a reciet that i even made a purchase. this didnt bother me at first because i was able to open the game but now when i try to open the game it says i need the number if i already purchesed the game. so now i really need this number and i was told its not there problem. can you imagine that i pay 30 dollars am charged on my credit card i cant play the game they never sent me the number or anything but im suppose to pay the 30 dollars. if theres anybody out there that can help me out i would appreciate it. i am getting no help at all from the people who are selling this game.i would pay the 30 dollars if i could play the game for some reason the people who sell the game cant figure that out. what shows even further stupidity on their part is that my credit card company has told me that i dont have to pay for the game since they cant send me my number. they think that i should contact the company that handles their billing and i should figure out who to write just to get a number i should of been sent in the first place.when i first got this game i was really turned off by lack of instructions and any help. the people who sell and service this game are really terrible at what they do. it now has been 3 days since i got ripped off and they have given me no help at all.

OKay kid, calm down- did you buy it from OOTP.com or did you buy it off some scum on ebay who took you for a ride ? if its the second, your best recourse is to email ebay and tell them about it, or to email whoever is in charge - if it was a private transaction, I don't know if anyone can do much.

You should get all your info straight prior to posting on these boards. The OOTP gang is outstanding at what they do. So please if you want help dont go on these boards and start bashing the creaters and developers of the Game...OK?

Which came first: the lousy customer service representative or the flailing unhelpable customer?

{edit: this is a general question, and has nothing to do with .400, who to my knowledge provide quality customer service. also for what it's worth my one dealing with viatech was flawless.}

I don't know this was my reply:

Do you still have the eLicense Control button under your Control Panel? If so there should be an OOTP5 icon in the eLicense Control folder. If you right-click on the icon there should be a product recipt selection on the menu. Your order ID is on the product receipt.

The receipt would have been emailed to you automatically upon the completion of your purchase. Our sales are handled by our distributor, Via Tech (the eLicense people), so contacting Via Tech ( at support@eLicense.com ) is the only way you can get your receipt.txt resent to your email account. They should have no problems validating your purchase and resending you the receipt, they should also be able to confirm or correct the email address that may have resulted in the email being sent to the wrong address (resulting in your not having received it).

We do not process any of the orders ourselves, our distributor does all of that for us and as a result we don't have the information available to be able to resend it to you, in this situation you will have to contact Via Tech ( support@elicense.com ) to get your receipt resent to you, if you can't find it under eLicense control.

Hope this helps.

I guess what I meant by my previous post was that there seems to be a correlation between customers who can't spell or make paragraph breaks, and customers who feel they get "ripped off" or receive bad service.

Sounds like a masters thesis waiting to happen.

Look, I have emailed you, PM'ed you several times.......NO ONE is trying to rip you off. I do not have access to the numbers, I don't know of ANY customers that they have failed to send the ID numbers to IF provided with a working email addy. You need to contact Via-Tech, here is their contact info:

eLicense support: Viatech eLicense support team

Customer support for eLicense problems like lost order IDs or lost licenses
support@elicense.com
Phone: 866-723-3376

(between 9am and 5pm EST)

http://www.elicense.com

I'll repeat, THEY are the only ones that can give you the info. I cannot. If you contact them they will send you the info, provided the game has been properly purchased.

also to the guy who thinks i bought this off of ebay the answer is no. i purchased the game directly from the web site. my credit card company says as long as they wont send me the number to open the game i donot have to pay the charge so i really dont feel ripped off. i guess im disapionted that i wanted to get this game but not be able to. its too bad that the people who sell the game cant fix a problem without having to blame another party. the company that handles their billing obviosly isnt doing their job since they never sent me my reciet. i dont believe there is anyone with such a number there must of been some srew up either way im not paying without the number. if they want to get paid then just email me or my credit card company the number and ill have no choice but to pay but as long as you cant get me my number then i dont have to pay which is only fair since i cant play the game and the whole ideal of buying the game is to be able to open it. when you purchase the game they tell you to put down your email address and they will send you a number to use to open the game if you ever should need it. well they never sent me this number and i do need it and so far it looks like nobody can really or wants to help me. the people who sell the game just keep telling me that its not there responibility to get me this number well then its not mine to pay for it either.

You still haven't answered my question yet:
