Anyone had a player like this?

I have this Right Fielder named Dion Nolla who is a 10 in hitting and a 14 in homeruns right now. He's 32 and I have him locked up for another 4 years. His bio says that whole bit about this type of player coming around once or twice a generation and the Hall of Fame being a given. Anyone ever have anyone with a 10 and 14 like that?

Meaning what? Is there some kind of special code that I'm missing? I am playing on easy, but I've never seen a guy have a 10 in hitting, much less with a 14 in homeruns. I just thought it was cool. I appreciate your feedback.

I think he meant that he'd only seen a player with those ratings when it's been edited.

Highest I've seen is a 9 in hitting and 13 in HR (same player. ive seen higher in hr for other players).

I certainly have never seen a player that good. What are his stats?

Oh ok. Sorry if I took it the wrong way. I do tend to trade 2-4 star veterans for prospects a lot. I just have a lot of fun seeing how players turn out. It's probably cheating to most (I have trading on normal), but I'm just in it for fun.

I'm at the beginning of the year, so not much in the way of stats. A couple of seasons ago, before his ratings were even this good, he hit 46 homers, had 157 RBIs, and hit .328. He's won 3 out of the last 4 MVPs.

I have seen players like that when I first create new leagues. There will be guys with a 9 or 10 in getting hits and 14 or 15 in getting home runs. However, once they retire, I never see their type again. It seems much more likely to have them upon the league's creation rather than see anyone develop into those kinds of ratings.

here is the legendary sheldon dowdell from my fictional league. First pick overall in the initial draft, and you can see why. Unbelieveable. Too bad he doesn't play for me.

No it can go beyond. Import a guy like Lou Gehrig into your league from 1927 and he is awesome.

Hey Akw4572, I used to live in Florence KY and actually have a great deal of family from there

(to prove it, I know the florence mall on mall road with the big Kmart at the end).

Very cool we both play ootp 5 from such a small city
