Patched

I can not get the patches to work. I have unzipped them in my main folder but they dont seem to work. Do I need to start a new league for it to take affect? I also can't turn off my McAfee virus scan long enough to defrag so that I can clean up my computer. My ootp5 is running sooooooooo slowly now that I can't get any enjoyment out of it. I am on my 31st year of a career.

Please help

In order for the game to get "patched", the game must be "closed" and you must "overwrite" all of the old files. Not sure what to tell you about the virus software I can disable mine easily but I use Norton.

Chances are that you are not using your "unzipping" software correctly, I would recommend either using the help file or consult a local computer savy individual to help since it is not easy to assist someone online(it's not difficult, but MUCH simpler if you can actually SEE what a person is doing).

You can also unzip the patch files to a different directory and then copy and paste them into your OOTP5 directory, overwriting the files.

Got it installed thanks. I had a flawed copy of winzip.
