Where do Manager stats go when you retire?

Hey guys,

After a 31 year career, I decided that at the age of 69 it was time to retire. Once I retired, my stats as a manager are nowhere to be found. Are they lost forever or are they stored somewhere that I can see them again?

i believe you have the option to begin a new career, or of course do what you said...just sit and watch

You do have the option of starting a new career. I have done this on many occasions. As a matter of fact this is a good way to continue with the same team if you ever get fired but don’t want to leave. Just retire your current manager and start a new career and all of the teams will be available for you to choose from including your current team that you were just fired from. Works well.

To answer your question wyattracts... As far as I see, the stats just dissapear ... which is completely disapointing.

There should be a way to view old managers stats.

I think every team should show manager stats, not just the human player. Managers should be fired and hired as you are, and you should sit in a pool with them if fired.

Then the stats of all managers would be accessible before and after retirement, and perhaps a manager could enter the hall of fame..

What type of pool? and is it heated for the cold months? is there a poolside bar for refreshments?

I would hope to see this in v6. The idea of different manager styles would be a great addition. I could take a more "GM" approach to the game and hire a manager that fits my style of play.

Yeah, I'd like to have the manager stats viewable somewhere... I only play single player, and I'd like to be able to compare stats, with previous "careers".

So this is on my wish list... (though I'm sure stat heaven is very nice).

Manager Mistakes!

Just a note - when you end a season and are offered a contract from your team - there is no negotiation process!! I just found out the hard way! Played my first season as manager, got a contract extension offer - turned it down to negotiate and did not get any other offers from the team I just finished GMing...had to retire and start over...

Yeah, declining an offer is always a risky venture. I wish you could see what other offers you'd get if you were to turn down an extension.

Me too - or better yet - wish I had been informed that there is no negotiation period. I just assumed it was like the FA period where teams bid and you select the team with the best offer.
