We have officially released the hotfix that we put out at the end of last week, version 27.3.68.
Changelist 27.3.68
Important info for online leagues: This version is NOT compatible with versions earlier than 27.3.66. Once the commissioner has updated their game version, all league members must update to continue to load the league. Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before attempting to install the update. Please note that you may need to delete or unload previous installers of the game after download. Please be sure that after updating you see the correct version of your game. For Steam users, your game should update automatically when launched. Download link for Windows PC (Fastspring Webstore Version): Main server: PC Installer Mirror Link: PC Installer Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch: PC Single Folder Installer Download link for MacOS (FastSpring): Main Server: MacOS Installer Mirror Link: MacOS Installer Thanks again Thanks, Matt + The OOTP Team |

There were some comments about a possible issue with international hitters developing at a better rate than drafted hitters. Was this issue resolved with this patch (or was it determined that is wasn't an issue)?

I play out each game so I am only 2 seasons into my current save. For those that are deeper into their save, do you see any glaring issues with the 2026 draft class? Also, any missing players that would be good for a long term save? Curious if this fix is worth a re-start for me:
Updated roster set with focus on 2026 draft pool and updated Indy Leagues Thanks. Last edited by renojedi; 06-24-2026 at 01:04 PM. |

Yep, there is definitely an issue with the draft compared to international FAs. Game breaking in my opinion. Pretty much the strategy becomes to take pitchers in the draft, position players at the international signing. Forget about getting a star position player in the draft. International players have also become by and large can't miss prospects.
The balance has been lost. |

I keep saying this and I would reset the draft until you can...
Use the development risk better rather than nerf the draft. Make younger players generally have more risk associated with them. In international FA, almost all the prospects should be higher risk. High schoolers should have much higher ceilings but also generally higher risk. College players generally (with exceptions of course) lower risk but lower ceilings. This system remains broken and this recent tweak in my opinion only made it worse. |

Has the problem with random crashes while playing out a game with sound on (on Mac OS) been fixed?

Will this auto fix current games, or just new games?

As with nearly all changes to drafting and development, it won't impact ratings of players already created, but will correct for the new generations. As the game may generate players up to a few years out, if you did sim through a draft cycle or more under the broken systems, you might either have a random draft class with many impacted players, or it may take up to a few years for the new classes of players to be generated and cycle through the system.
*edit to add as well: You do have the option in commissioner mode if you have "broken" draft pools, you can delete all players before the draft pool reveal time, and the game should auto-generate a new batch of players (or you can manually create draft-eligible players in the FA list). Due to the way players develop over time, they may not have the normal balance you'd have in a traditional draft, but if you get a complete dud of a draft, it may help to get through it. The first few seasons in a save are the actual players, so they are not impacted by the issues from this. I would suggest to simply play out year by year, and if you get to a year where the draft class doesn't have any pitchers with a decent pbabip potential, then you could consider to regenerate then

I was under the impresion that this hotfix, pushed draft class ratings back up so the international FAs didn't dominate development, but I see only Pbabip was adjusted
